Twitter in Plain English
Twitter is a misunderstood distant cousin of the Social media set. But during the last 8 months or so Twitter has exploded onto the main stream social Media arena. With good reason it turns out. Now I like facebook yet i cannot stand MySpace. I use twitter but I ignore Plurk.
What this demonstrates is that we are all different. So are the social media sites in general.
Twitter is not for the young or the young at heart its for those who want to communicate in real time but not write a novel. Its not the same as a phone based text and for the most part people use full English sentences when they tweet. Something that the young don’t do in a text message from their i-phone.
So if you have yet to try Twitter and don’t see the value for you or your business, you may want to reconsider that in the new year. Twitter is going to carry on growing and expanding into other applications and will probably be taken over and enhanced by Google eventually.
In the meantime I recommend you consider taking a few minutes to watch the video above and make Twitter part of your marketing campaign. You might just be pleasantly surprised at the impact this little micro-blogging powerhouse can do for your business.
Agree or disagree?
