Twitter: How to clean house of your “No followers”
Twitter is the current social media portal of choice for most on line entrepenuers. The value of your time on twitter however needs to be measurable AND worthwhile. Its no use spending hours everyday making small talk on twitter if your audience is immune to your message.
One way to measure your Twitter success is in the number of followers you have. However that does not tell the whole story because if you follow more than follow you, are you really getting the success your time deserves. Watch this video (it’s long at around 9 minutes but worth that in time saved later on) and learn how to get new followers and how to ditch the time wasters who are not following you in return. These methods are both effective in terms of results and time management.
There are a whole raft of other plugins, scripts and whole websites dedicated to making Twitter the most product driven social media site of 2009. If you are not using Twitter in your marketing, you are missing a lot of extra traffic and possible sales by ignoring this little marvel. Twitter is about fun and aboiut business. Thats why anyone who is anyone in marketing has jumped aboard.
Go search for Eban Pagen, John Reese, Mike Filsame or Shawn Casey all of these guys are running multi-million dollar empires and Twitter is at the heart of their marketing campaigns.
Now go sort out your Twitter account and go drive more followers to your tweets.
In the first instant its all about numbers. Once you have established yourself within the Twitter community and within your followers subconcious as someone with knowledge in thier niche, you are rip to take full advantage of that with some indirect marketing techniques. Its vital to get that right because Twitter is not about direct selling. Just like your initial contact with a potential client is never about direct selling. Its about building trust, establishing some sort of relationship before you make your pitch.
If you have other twitter tips, why not leave a comment and share these with everyone else?
Have a great week. and come back again. thanks for the visit
Kevin
